Since March of the 2017/18 season (equates to a season and a half for most, but Pasta has missed a handful of games):

NHL.com - Stats

I know this is the Pastrnak thread, but not to be lost in that is Marchand at 8th in goals per game, and even Bergeron at 16th.

In points per game, Marchand and Pastrnak are 3rd and 4th, respectively, in that time-frame. Bergeron's not far away at 13th.

He's likely going to be our best sniper since Neely, perhaps since Espo.

Tied for 2nd in the entire NHL in goals since the start of 2016-17 with McDavid at 130. (only trailing OV at 148).

Best RWer in the sport. Best Czech-born player in the world right now.
Honestly, biggest surprise here is how many goals McDavid has. Don't think of him as being a goal scorer on that level.

Holy **** those Espo stats are untouchable lol.

He's the forgotten all timer. I laugh when folks don't have him in their top 10.

2x Hart
5x Ross
6x Rocket
1st player to score 60 and 70
1st player to score 150 in a season
Retired 2nd all time in goals and points, 3rd in assists

He's currently 6th all time in goals and 10th in points

PASTRNAK SCORES THREE, WHILE BRUINS NET EIGHT IN ORIGINAL SIX SHOWDOWN
David Pastrnak
(3-0—3) scored his sixth career regular-season hat trick and Brad Marchand (1-2—3) reached the 40-point mark as the Bruins erupted for eight goals against their Original Six rivals in Montreal.

* Pastrnak (23-16—39 in 24 GP), who became the first Bruins player in over 30 years to score three regular-season goals in Montreal, has found the back of the net in 16 of 24 games in 2019-20. The last player with more goals through his team’s first 24 contests of a season was Mario Lemieux in 1992-93.

PastaT-26113909.png

* Pastrnak joined Connor McDavid as the second player to tally two hat tricks in 2019-20. The Bruins’ 23-year-old forward leads the League in three-goal performances since 2018-19 (5) – two more than the next closest players: Alex Ovechkin (3) and Patrik Laine (3).

* With seven career hat tricks (including playoffs), Pastrnak joined Barry Pederson as the second Bruins player to record seven such performances at 23 or younger. In fact, only two active players have posted more hat tricks prior to their 24th birthday: Washington’s Ovechkin (9) and Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby (8).

* Marchand, who factored on two of three Pastrnak goals, became the fourth Bruins player in the last 45 years to record at least 40 points in 24 team games or fewer, joining three members of the Hockey Hall of Fame: Adam Oates (24 GP in 1992-93), Phil Esposito (22 GP in 1974-75) Bobby Orr (21 GP in 1974-75).

Looked at the 25th game for these guys and Hull was the only one to get up to 25 in 25 games (in addition to Lemieux of course). 25 in 25 would be really cool.

PASTRNAK HELPS BRUINS RALLY OVER RANGERS IN THANKSGIVING SHOWDOWN

David Pastrnak
(1-1—2) tied the game in the third period and made a highlight-reel play to set up David Krejci’s overtime winner as the Bruins rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Rangers in the 2019 NHL Thanksgiving Showdown.

* Pastrnak (24-17—41 in 26 GP) leads the League with 24 goals, highlighted by a dozen in each of October and November.

PASTAgoalsT-29111150.png

* Wayne Gretzky is the only player in NHL history to do so in each of his first three or more months to begin a season.

* Three days after Brad Marchand recorded his 40th point of 2019-20 (24 GP), Pastrnak joined his teammate at the benchmark on Friday. The pair of Bruins join Edmonton’s high-scoring duo of Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid among players with 40 points this season.

* This marks the first time the NHL has featured four players with 40 or more points through the first two months of the season since five players did so in 1992-93: Mario Lemieux (29-36—65 w/ PIT), Pat LaFontaine (18-29—47 w/ BUF), Jari Kurri (16-31—47 w/ LAK), Mark Recchi (16-29—45 w/ PHI) and Joe Sakic (20-21—41 w/ QUE).

* The Bruins extended their overall point streak to 7-0-3 dating to Nov. 10 vs. the Flyers – their second double digit point streak of 2019-20 (also 8-0-2 from Oct. 12 to Nov. 4). Boston became the third team in NHL history to post multiple point streaks of 10 or more games within their first 30 games of a season. The others: St. Louis in 2000-01 (10 GP and 10 GP) and Buffalo in 1974-75 (10 GP and 11 GP).

* Boston extended its season-opening home point streak to 14 contests (10-0-4), including three multi-goal comeback wins over that stretch – two of which have come in the Bruins’ last two games on home ice (also Nov. 23 vs. MIN).

The crazy part is that he’s not even the best player on this team.

He's the worst player on the line IMO.
I would have agreed with this a year ago, but:
1. Bergeron is starting to slow down. It will hopefully be subtle and gradual, but there's no doubt about it.
2. I saw them live in Denver earlier this year and Pastrnak was dominant. He was the best player on the ice for either team that night IMO. It's not just the offense either. He hounds the puck like a maniac now and has been laying the body too. He hasn't figured out how to backcheck consistently and a lot of that is just about angles, but he's really top tier at keeping the cycle alive by cutting off defender's exit routes. He is an incredible player and much better defensively now than he was even a year ago.

I think you can make a case for Marchand being the better all around player still, but it's very close and they are both absolutely elite.

Bergeron is one of the top hockey minds of all time and still an incredible 200 foot player, but he's not the guy driving that line like he was a couple years ago.

PASTRNAK SCORES LEAGUE-LEADING 25TH GOAL OF THE SEASON

Bruins forward David Pastrnak scored his League-leading 25th goal of the season (25-17—42 in 27 GP). He became the eighth different player in the last 30 years to reach the 25-goal mark in 27 or fewer games and second to do so with Boston over that span, joining Cam Neely.

FewestGP25Goals_Media-01115750.png

* Aside from Pastrnak and Neely, only three other players in franchise history have reached the 25-goal mark in 27 games or fewer: Phil Esposito in 1973-74 (25-28—53 in 23 GP), Herb Cain in 1943-44 (26-18—44 in 24 GP) and Cooney Weiland in 1929-30 (25-15—40 in 27 GP).

* Pastrnak became the 11th different player in NHL history to score 25 or more goals in a season through games played Dec. 1 and first since Mario Lemieux 27 years ago.

MostGoalsDec1_Media-02011841.png

* The Bruins extended their win and point streaks to seven and 11 games (8-0-3), respectively, and improved to 19-3-5 (43 points) this season to pass the idle Capitals (19-4-5, 43 points) for first place in the NHL standings. Boston moved to 11-0-4 (26 points) at TD Garden in 2019-20, its second-longest season-opening home point streak in franchise history behind a 21-game run in 1973-74 (19-0-2, 40 points).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: PASTRNAK HALFWAY TO 50 GOALS

David Pastrnak
is halfway to becoming the eighth active NHL player to record at least one 50-goal season, in which he would join Alex Ovechkin (7x), Ilya Kovalchuk (2x), Steven Stamkos (2x), Sidney Crosby (1x), Leon Draisaitl (1x), Evgeni Malkin (1x) and Corey Perry (1x).

* The most markers any member of the above cohort had through 27 games of a 50-goal season was 23, which was Kovalchuk in 2007-08 (23-15—38).

* Of the 196 total 50-goal seasons in League history, only two dozen featured a player with 25 or more tallies through their first 27 games including just six over the last 30 years.
