exactly, while he doesn`t have a howitzer, it`s very accurate and when he`s not shooting, it`s one less thing the opponents need to worry about with him. DK`s having a very good year, far more engaged consistently, not much fun as I just can`t hammer him for anything so far this year:laugh:

Krejci can hammer the puck. Those one timers on the PP are super heavy. We have 3-4 forwards that can score on a clean look from distance, and he is in that group.

I wouldn’t trade Krejci to sign Duchene. You get a whopping 4 years younger while trading a player that’s been part of the core over 10 years. I don’t put as much stock in the Duchene is a locker room cancer as some, but when you talk about replacing Krejci with a guy like that it makes you wonder.
You have to replace him someday. He's going to turn 33 during the playoffs. And it's not often a 1st line center is available.

Just sayin'.

The only thing that truly astonishes me about Krejci.....is that Chara is one goal away from his 200th, and Krejci has about, what? 188? 189? Too lazy too look it up. I would not have expected that at all

Re-birth of sorts for him, and he's amazing....better than ever it seems...I was so wrong about him coming into the season, thought he would limp to the finish line here.

I wouldn't say you were wrong. He's just been more motivated this year and hasn't been as inconsistent as he usually is. I also want to point out that earlier in the year I was all over him for not shooting enough. He's changed that up and his point totals have drastically risen in conjunction with the uptick in shots.

This version of DK is one I truly enjoy watching. The guy that makes me crazy is the lazy one that doesn't compete hard enough at times. But when he's engaged, he's a real difference maker.

His vision is getting better with age. Health seems good too. Huge month of February full of highlight passes. Playoffs are all that matters so let's see if he can up his game in April, he'll be target #1 for the big hitters.

Can’t wait to see what he can do with Johansson, first guy he’s played with consistent lot that’s capable of putting up 50+ points in awhile. Probably since Eriksson or Iginla. Johansson is a heady passer too so I think he’ll fit right in with Krejci.

I think that this year he's been completely healthy from coming into training camp until now. His hip issues seem to have finally been put behind him. It's a lot easier to perform well when you're feeling your best.

Great point friend, likely approached the off season without the worry or change to his training approach in the off season. I`ve been a loud critic of DK when I thought it was warranted, but he`s earned a ton of praise from me this year, hard to complain about what he`s done

This story below has not aged as well as Krejci play has.

After Second Hip Surgery, Will David Krejci Ever Be The Same?
Lol. We hear that kind of thing all the time. Rask is concussed, will he be the same? Pasta hand surgery, will he be the same? Is it so common for guys never to recover from surgery/injury? Seems like every time someone goes down for more than 2 weeks we start panicking like the anchorman on the news, "Could your cat litter be killing you?!? Tonight at 11."

I think he is simply healthy which he was not for some of the past seasons.
