In my Be a GM in NHL 15 Alfie was a ufa for about a week. I offered him a 3.5 million dollar 1 year contract to come back to Ottawa (500k more then he was asking for), but he rejected my offer and signed with the Hurricanes.

It was a sad day for Senators GM The Dude and Ottawans everywhere.

He'll play if he's healthy enough, and Detroit will be glad to take him back for a couple million.

The bitterness here is really strong still, too bad.

That'd be great if his family came back to Ottawa & he took a job with the organization in whatever capacity. Maybe he could be in coaching? Or Scouting? Hell they could invent a position for him. It would go a long way to curing the public relations nightmare that this whole situation caused.

Until such point that credible rumours surface that Alfie is in fact planning a return to Ottawa going to close this thread for now - and further discussion should take place in the general around the league thread.
