Its not just his height, his weight is still listed in the low 160s. MSL for example is listed at 180, that's a decent size weight difference. Even JS and Tyler Johnson both are listed at 175 (roughly).

At his age or after they grew up and put on some muscle?

Cliff Ronning was listed at 5'8" and 170lbs back in the day. Anybody who met him would know both were overestimates.

The number of contracts aren't a problem. Cassels, Cederhom, Virtanen, McCann & most likely Horvat won't count against the 50 cap. The Canucks can sign 3 or 4 more players.

Like i said, with the slide rule, we'll have room for a Valk contract this year. And while we're obviously still extremely close to (really technically exceeding) the contract limit...i think there's likely to be a lot of going nowhere contracts that will come off the books next summer. Guys in the AHL who probably won't be qualified, and possibly some Canucks Vet UFAs that won't be extended, spots taken over by in house contract young guys. So there will be room...i just think you still have to be careful not to back yourself into the same sort of corner again.
