Submitted for your approval: Meet Karl Alzner

Being slow, incapable of handling a puck and getting paid NHL salary might fool you to think he has grittiness to make up for it... Alzner doesn't have the faintest semblance of that either.

That's all the Jets have. Bitetto, Dahlstrom, Sbisa, Kulikov, Poolman, take your pick.

I like the guy and don't want him to be taken, but Arizona should be all over McIlrath unless they need to shed a contract.

He eats grits, poops and pees grits, sweats grits... I'm pretty sure Gritty wears a Dylan McIlrath costume just to play hockey.

Scandella would be a great choice, but can't see BUF giving him away. He is not a #7D. More like a #4-5. A team like ARI would be a great fit for him. Pateryn or Seeler can probably be had for a mid round pick.

Avs have an extra of those. Zadorov/Graves/Cole, going from best to worst. I'd do Zadorov for Crouse 1-for-1, which may very well be undervaluing Crouse.

I’d say they should pick up McIlrath and waive him again once healthy I’m sure Detroit would grab him and assign him to the AHL. They seem to need a righty.

Y'all just ignoring the skill part of the quote? They want someone who can skate with the puck and make outlet/entry passes, not some plug that can barely get out of his own zone.
