Masks are here for the long term so it's hardly surprising that multinational sports corporations are getting into the game. You can get some very fashion-conscious looks from several sources.

Not sure how I feel about advertising on health/medical equipment etc that is to prevent death. Then again, not a fan of that ugly chicken on the Laval Rockets either.

People freaking out about new cases...

Pretty much veryone is going to get covid eventually. The more testing that's done, the more cases we count. Really basic stuff.

What matters is the death toll.

Cases going up while death rate stays the same or drops is good news.

And hospitalizations and ICU going down is another positive. Because if a second wave does come in, at least there is room in the hospitals for those who would need it.

The crisis is evidently being exacerbated by exceedingly partisan leadership that is hell-bent on denying science. The countries that softened the curve all did it by empowering their medical experts. For some States, it would appear that it's still not an option they want to fully commit to.

Yup.

I don't care if a million more cases are registered tomorrow alone, if no one is experiencing severe symptoms that require hospitalization. All it would mean is that we did a bunch of testing.

Completely agreed. For a country that touts itself as the greatest in the world and most advanced, this makes them look anything but.

Ironically, the US (Federal govt and several States) is adopting a position that completely goes against what their experts have traditionally counseled other countries to do during virus outbreaks. The worldwide leaders in mismanaging the pandemic are the US and Brazil.
