I don't think that one was irrelevant. The off-sides player shielded the puck carrier as they crossed the line. Without the offsides, there's a decent chance that zone entry is contested or denied. This is a good usage of the rule.

I was referring to them standing around in the defensive zone. Kempny, in particular, usually closes gaps quickly -- I think he just needs to get in game shape. Carlson... can take his time, heh.
