I think he just wants to not stand out so much.

Mask is by DaveArt. Probably THE top mask artist at the moment, he makes the most beautiful masks. Anyone who designs will know you can only work within the bounds the client sets. If you don't like the mask blame Cory not Dave.

Personally, I like it, however I agree that there is no personalization. Then again Brodeurs mask is just a stupid J and some flames yet its icon, go figure.
