So does that mean the Women's worlds will also be cancelled? Even if the World Championship does go on, I can't imagine many NHLers would wind up going.

They can just have games with no attendance.

How many people will actually watch these tournaments?

It is not just about how many fans would watch. Players are also vulnerable to virus. One of Dinamo Zagreb player's was in quarantine because of suspicious symptoms.

Hoping the U18 in US doesn't get cancelled... I'm going to see Czechs get slaughtered by US and, I think, Finland...

Thats bad. Mostly for junior tournaments in regard relegation and promotion. For example Slovakia. If they cancel WCH in our class, our team will be there one year longer. Another draft class, that will be playing lower, that they should.
The health is more than any success in sport but I absolutely agree.
Our 2002 class belongs somewhere between 5.-7. place in the world and could play against every team in TOP division IMO.
Don't take me bad our friends from Latvia but I think our 2002 team would smash yours easily. Don't talking about our 2004 class which will probably need to fight for promotion with our 2003 class next year... very bad news for Slovak hockey.

And second. If thy realize in the IIHF next year, that actually to miss this WCH wasnt so bad, maybe even good, they will be very close to make it every 2 years.
