Chicago did to Detroit what Detroit used to do to inferior teams. Sleep walk through the game and eventually their talent woke up for two shifts and the game was over.

I agree. In NHL 16 I kick their ass almost every time with our atrocious lineup and Mrazek in goal. But that's NHL 16.

Carrying play and having more shots don't win hockey games. Putting the puck in the net and stopping it from going into the net does. Something this team hasn't been doing well for long stretches and definitely not against any teams that matter. Team is nothing but has beens, bads and the PP coach needs to be fired tomorrow as he must be the dumbest man alive.

We can beat teams like Chicago, but we need a near-perfect effort. Can't start the game by giving them 2 goals, can't take dumb penalties, can't miss open nets, can't fail to convert on all our PPs... probably can't be without Datsyuk either.

Just like last time around we didn't play as bad as the score indicates. But obviously disheartening to see the difference between the two teams. Chicago, like the Red Wings of the past, can play a mediocre game and still win 4-1.

No its not even. WTF have you been watching?!? The month of Feb they were 44 for 51 that's about 87%. Which would run you right around....1st or 2nd in the league.

PK has only been bad against Chicago. PP will be that reason.

Yeah Holland really needs to upgrade the D this summer, Vatanen and possibly Shattenkirk could be available this summer Holland needs to make a move to upgrade our D big time.

The Wings aren't even close to the team Chicago is right now.

AA's the only guy consistently creating things on offence right now, maybe he can get a spot on the power-play? Or are Tatar and Jurco's production just too valuable?

And how can anyone possibly question that penalty on Green to make it 3-1? He got beat and reached in with his stick. It's always a call. Maybe Green should keep his feet moving instead of getting walked by a fourth liner.

How many games did Detroit play at a near perfect level when they had oodles of talent?

Consistency is the difference between contenders and whatever Detroit is.

Wings have no consistency in their game. Elite talent is where a team finds consistency.
