He's being effective still, hasn't fully found his scoring touch but remember in the pre-season he was on fire. More importantly, he's also drawing penalties and forcing himself in front of the net to create traffic -- like screening on Zibanejad's goal last night if I remember correctly.
Still early to say, but he's being more useful than Bishop which we weren't going to use long-term.
Conacher is a good 3rd liner winger right now. You can't expect him to be a top 6 forward. With 3rd line expectations, he's been absolutely fine. One of the few guys that skates hard and battles.
Everyone on the team except Spetsa is less than a point per game. Start gutting the organization. Call up everyone from Bingo - if they each don't score in their first game just start working the phones and trading until you get someone who does.
A little bit harsh of a thread, Conachers been decent. However looking back on the trade, it would of been nice to package Bishop with a pick instead to pick up more of a solid top 6 forward. Anyways, I still think Conacher will get better and provide depth that Ottawa will need in an 82 game schedule
It would be nice if he had a few more points, but for the most part he's been working hard and making things happen. He's also been pretty disciplined out there and hasn't taken a lot of penalties. Overall he's been allright.
Already made a difference in the playoffs. If nothing else, his aggressiveness wears off on the rest when they see a guy that size crashing and battling. My theory is he makes the whole team a little tougher.
What a ridiculous statement. Maybe look at the stats before giving the world your own subjective assessment of a player. He might not be our best player but he's far from being our worst.
