heh, Thanks Bryan. I posted that before your request.

Edmonton really has become better DT, better than I thought, and its starting to come together so its unique to be excited to share some of that again. Civic pride in the DT really left here after the 80's. DT used to be fantastic back in the 70's now it will be interesting again.

We had the Red Bull crashed Ice downhill skating course again this winter just a few weeks ago and that brought in thousands of out of town fans from around the world. Quite the spectacle and we spent the whole weekend being able to show off some of the new things DT.

One of these years I should come back, I really need to see Connor live in person. The last time that I was there was Hall's and Eberle's rookie season.

Killer was D and G

Nurse stepped it up but we will never know how injured both Klef and Larsson have been

Even with Nurse ... his play has fallen back to earth the last 30 games or so. Would really like to see offense translate more in his game but not sure its going to happen.

Oh, I should mention West Edmonton Mall. 13 yr old would probably like that more. It is pretty much a must visit even if Edmontonians are pretty blasé about it.
For visitors its pretty unique place to see once. There is information about it at the airport and bus connections are pretty good if travelling that way. LRT doesn't go there yet. Its a good place to spend a winter afternoon.

Its still very much winter here (looks outside...snowing)

Who was the last player to record back to back 100 point seasons? I’m having a hard time remembering if someone has done it since Crosby/Ovechkin in the 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 seasons.

don't know, but I think the last player to have back to back 100 point Art Ross wins was Mario.

Connor sure is a bucketlist attraction. They said in the recent Ottawa game that most of the fans were there to see McDavid and not too much their own team..;)

Biggest NHL player attraction since Gretzky.

Other Canadian cities are envious we got them both. Especially down south in Flamed out land.

But they won't admit it in Calgary. Go there and Gaudreau is better...

It's the right thing to do :) I don't live there so unfortunately I'm not much of a help.

I don't live in Columbus any more either but as David Puddy said " You gotta support the team". Kid is pumped to see the new arena.
If I may way in a bit as an outsider...all teams have ups and downs, except the Jackets who are always down. Oilers will be back on top in a year or two. These not so great years will make the winning ever sweeter for you guys. Stick with them.

The casino is just next door to the arena :naughty:

Serious note tho, if you like indoor climbing and cute girls, there's the Rock Jungle bouldering facility by Grant McEwen and the arena. I'm usually there.
Pass by it everyday. Never gone in, but I've heard good things. You recommend it?

Listening to Spector that hypocrite on Stauffer today going on about voting and he brings up Marchand should be a candidate for the hart with his PPG , than Stauffer says well McDavid lost Calder while having higher PPG than Spector pipes up yea but he missed 37 games, not 20 . This is the exact same hypocrite that said Landeskog deserved Calder back in 2011 that even though Nuge missed 20 games and had same amount of points than Landeskog that Landeskog was more deserving because he played out entire season. This is what were up against with writers voting on awards and he is the head of the writers association . These writers need to stop voting on awards , just let all gms coaches and players and pro scouts vote and make their votes public as well.

I have this tradition where every time I'm in a new city I have to at least try one bouldering/indoor climbing and jiu jitsu gym.

It's small and cozy place with a cafe(Dirtbag cafe) integrated. The routes(problems) gets changed every week. Lots of helpful and friendly people if you are out to meet new people. Wish we had more climbing facilities in Edmonton. Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver have some really good ones.

What happened?

Basically at the end of a game that had long been over the Blue Jackets continued to run around. Foligno and others had taken some garbage runs at Draisaitl and McDavid when the game was 5-0 for the Oil.

So Kass challenged Foligno and Dubinsky at the end of the game, Dubinsky clearly drops his gloves first, Kassian lays it on him and breaks his orbital bone, which kept him out until very recently.

I doubt Dubinsky will do anything, he would risk permanent damage fighting after coming back from and injury like that.

Yeah Foligno was running around and gooning it up in a 5-0 game. Zach actually wanted a piece of Foligno but Dubinsky started chirping and dropped his gloves first. Fight lasted one punch as Kassian clocked him in the eye. Never like to see a guy get hurt but thatʻs what happens when try play bully against a team with the ability to push back. I expect Foligno to try something again tonight even though itʻs a nothing game for the Oilers.

Foligno standing there thinking to himself, "damn I got my teammate his a** kicked"

Our penalty kill has improved a lot since they changed the formation up and got Kassian off of regular duty.

It's like ~90% over the last 20 games or something.

The problem was Letestu who was too slow and immobile to stop the cross-seam passes. Kassian was not great this year either - but IMHO - itʻs more guilt by association. Strome and Khaira have been solid. Wish they would try RNH/Kass as a second pair but that would be too creative for this coaching staff.

Glad to see you guys helping out that Blue Jackets fan. I've seen the Oilers play in 9 cities. Columbus was by far my favourite in terms of fans. Had a great time talking hockey with their fans. Super nice and easy to get along with. We had no reason to bash each others teams, we were actually able to just talk constructively about our own teams and each others!

Letestu has 1 goal in 14 games since being traded. Anyone else thinks he will break his slump?

Lepstesu was a detriment to the team this season , and how Tmac put him into so many important situations just shows his coaching idiocy . I think management was sick of it as well .
