Why Lafferty? Thought he brought a lot of energy. He did have that one brutal turnover at the blueline (Very bad indeed), but outside of that I thought he was good.

Nah. Had a 3000 eur bet on a regulation win for the Pens. Won 1700. That was kinda obvious. I mean, they have some pride so they beat Ottawa at home after losing 6 games.. I am not gonna make conclusions nor am I gonna claim that they are back. That was absolutely obvious and necessary. Now get some wins against actual NHL teams and I will give them some credit then. Not now.

bad turnover and really bad O zone penalty too...he does these things too often for someone who doesn’t bring a lot of point production...his energy was good but he needs to pot a goal, and he had opportunities, to excuse his mistakes, which were pretty bad

------------------I'm going to just have one more vent and say: Petts and Schultz should be ashamed of themselves for how they played recently. Both 2nd pairing guys by pedigree; it was unrealistic to expect them to be great but they really, really acquitted themselves badly. Schultz is gonna get paid in FA this year and whoever does it is a sucker. An absolute sucker.
Honestly JJ sucks but we all knew that. So not gonna add him in this list. And he's a new parent now apparently so feels wrong tonight.

Zucker did really well on the forecheck tonight too. I think at least 2 goals came off of him working them boards like a boss.

I think your second observation and your last couple sentences kinda tell the tale moving forward. I’m not sure how well they really played tonight either. It’s hard to gauge that against a sorry Ottawa team. I said it in the GDT, but the defense still scares me. Obviously it was great to get Dumo and Marino back tonight, but they’re still dressing Larry, Curly, and Moe every night (3, 4, 28). Having half of your D corps playing like shit isn’t a good thing. And like I said earlier in this thread, the PP has to do something. PP2 shouldn’t consistently look better than PP1.
