I used to visit Shadyside quite often when friends were at college there. I had myself a time in SS... quite the time. I love Shadyside. My parents live in Shadyside, it’s a nice place for sure.

Woah, that is steeper than what I remember things going for in the dark ages.
Nat Faxon is a terrible actor and comedian and him playing a ****ing playboy in Friends from College is not even remotely believable.
His face really bothers me in a way I can't really explain. Like when I see his face, I suddenly understand murder. He had a great line in Bad Teacher though
“If the younger generation doesn't get into opera, then, guess what? No more opera! An art form has died. If opera goes away, we're f***ed!”
I got back from the vet with not great news. It seems like my cat is suffering from Horner's Syndrome, which is a side effect of what I'm betting is an inner ear infection. The good thing is that it's not life threatening or anything close to it, but if the antibiotics don't work (or if my cat won't let me give her the antibiotics), they may need to do surgery. It is often self-correcting, I read that 25%-42% of cases happen out of nowhere and end up fixing themselves. I'm hoping that ends up happening here and the steroids and antibiotics speed it up.
What made it worse was that I was feeling awful about this right after I left the vet, and then this old lady walks up to me and said "I think I hit your car". Luckily she didn't (or I didn't see any damage), but dear lord, talk about kicking someone when they're down already. Today's the first day in 2019 that I'm not going to the gym, I just feel drained after all of that bad news
EDIT: @Empoleon8771 she said it’s just a mess thing and have to wait it out and to keep your cat safe with regards to balance (on stairs and things).
If it's important to me, I give them an extra 24-48 hours then try again. I usually acknowledge it's a second attempt, nicely, of courseOpinion question, I emailed that beagle rescue on Saturday asking about the adoption process. Their website says allow for 24-48 hours to respond, but I haven't heard back from them yet. Should I wait longer to see if I get a response or should I try to contact them again?

EDIT: I also usually double check for alternate ways to contact whoever it is.
If you contacted them through PetFinder that may be why you haven't gotten a response. If that's the case, find out how to contact the rescue directly and try again. My next plan was to use the "ask about me" tool on PetFinder, because that seems like an alternate way to contact them. I'll use a different email of mine to make it obvious I wasn't contacting them for a second time though

Bloomfield isn’t so bad from what I’ve seen, and I’m sure it’s way cheaper — maybe check out places there.
@Empoleon8771, however you do it and however frustrating dealing with the rescue may be, I couldn't recommend adoption strongly enough. Rescue dogs know when they've been rescued, and he/she will thank you for it for the rest of his/her life.
I rescued my cat as well, so I have rescued animals before. I wouldn't even dream of getting a puppy right now, not only because it would be better to rescue if you can, but because I really don't want a puppy
The current dog I'm looking at was at a high kill shelter and was taken into a foster home, where he currently still is at. I'm going to try and contact them again in the next day or 2 probably, I'm probably not going to wait until Monday.
Oh christ. High kill shelter? Is it near you? Maybe just drive over? I wouldn't count on a call back . . .
Oh no he was at a high kill center, but he was taken into a foster home recently for a beagle specific rescue. He's not in a high kill shelter anymore, he just was according to his bio.
He was taken in by Forever Home Beagle Rescue, so I feel like the risk here is him being adopted by someone else. The website says that all of their dogs are taken into a foster home.
Also in Dodgeball, Get Out, The Ballad of Buster Scuggs, and a bunch of other bit parts and a ton of voice parts. Stephen Root is a treasure.Watching Brooklyn 99 and I finally realised where I've seen Boyle's father from before. Milton from Office Space!
That dog is freaking adorable man.Today, the misses got one of those facebook post anniversary reminders, and here's what came over:

That's our pup Madison 9 years ago. Maybe 8-9 weeks old, 6-7 pounds, literally within days of our old Frenchie finding her abandoned under our car.
