Svechnikov will be signed by someone if the Jets decide not to, he has given the Jets brass something to think about

If he doesn't get a contract I'd be surprised. Jets have 40/50 contracts signed right now and Svech at worse looking like a capable replacement with scoring upside. They lose nothing by giving him a year to show his stuff before committing longer term.
