They only way Eakin is making 4 million+ on his next deal is if he takes his salary in Pesos instead of USD.

Eakin is high up my list of players I would never want on the Jets. He's basically Corey Perry without the talent. Debate the call all you want, it was Eakin's crosscheck to Pavelski that awakened the dragon.

Vegas just found another way to make Chevy look stupid.

Not a huge fan of giving up the pick, even with it being a 4th or 3rd. But the hope here must be to improve the 4th line (because it's terrible). Jets have to be hoping to catch temporary lightning in a bottle and have Eakins find some 4th line game for the stretch run. He's been struggling for a while though IMO.

Hey -41 points is just alright with me --that's pretty damn good for a 4th- 3rd. The guy is also a hustler --sort of a Tanev type guy from what I read here, and will want to look good in front of his home town. I like the deal --can't really hurt us, but only help us.

Don't mind this at all. He was always tenacious when he played the Jets (only time I saw him play) and a pain in the ass. Don't mind that type on our team and I feel like he, Lowry, & Copp have the jam and grit to spin the opposition sideways from time to time.

What I'm seeing here, is the Jets are filling in spots to make the playoffs, which bring in "profit revenues" to TNSE. As a lifelong Winnipeg resident, I want to see our major entertainment business, be in the black, and making good money -- they need it, as it keeps this franchise healthy. Good deal Chevy -- now just add a 2nd line center --or a big strong right handed defenseman with some good talent --and we''ll be right up there.

Since he's making $ 4mil already per season -- he must be pretty decent, but the Jet's will not resign him for that kind of money. Not even close IMO.
