Luke warm at best RT @Kentholio: How hot is Boucher's seat?
Then Yzerman's seat better be getting warmer.
Yzerman is fine. I think he has tried to address the gaps in our team and has done a great job stocking our cupboards.
Boucher is not. That being said, I don't want him fired mid-season necessarily, but I don't want his ass behind the bench next season, that's for sure. I wouldn't be against him being fired this season, I just don't really see the point when he's doing a great job tanking the team.
Highly unlikely Guy is going anywhere. You might see movement in assistants, you may just see additions to the assistants... hard to say at this point, but i'd go as far as saying Guy isn't going anywhere.
Pass the buck. Question: didn't Guy bring in these assistants? Or did they come separately?
If I remember correctly, he brought them with him from Hamilton. Am I right?
On paper, this team is solid. This team better defense than many teams like Toronto who are way ahead of us (Kostka, Holzer, Frazer, Gunnerson) and the offense is one of the strongest in the league. Yzerman has put together the pieces on the ice, he needs to put the correct pieces behind the bench now.
Also, the loss against the Islanders happened because GUDAS SHAVED HIS BEARD!
No way is our Defense even decent on paper, we thought we filled some holes by adding Carle and Salo but in the end, the addition of Salo, Carle and the development of Hedman just balanced out the loss of Ohlund and the massive decline of Brewer. Salo is a solid solid D-man, but so was Ohlund, Carle's performance is subpar compared to Brett Clark, and Brewer has taken a huge step backwards and Hedman a big step forward.
The forwards are fine, but they lack an identity and system. They pretty much go on the ice and expect their talent to take over, there's no unison.
I agree that coaching has been a big issue, but the players are also held accountable for not raising some key issues to management, if we can see it, so can they. Things like Conachers reduced ice time, or the entire 3rd line for that matter, or WHY IS CARLE STILL ON THE PP?

Sooooo...they are going to go above their coach's head and take it to Yzerman about Boucher's deficiencies?
Carle was brought in to help the PP. He's going to get ice time on the PP. Especially now that it looks like playoffs are a serious longshot.
lolwut
Why not? They could easily raise the issues to Boucher himself, I feel as if they're just following him blindly.
Since when was Carle a PP specialist? He was brought in to be a solid #3/4 because we lacked depth outside Hedman and Brewer. He doesn't belong anywhere near the PP, especially when you consider how horrid he's been on it, yet he continually gets the ice time.
Brett Clark 2011 > Carle 2013
I take Brett Clark at 800k over Carle at 5.5m regardless, at least Clark can hit and block shots.

Ok, go into work tomorrow and tell your boss about his/her workplace deficiencies. And then go to his/her boss and tell them about your boss' problems too.
I didn't mean he was only brought in to help the PP. He was brought in to a solid #3/4 but he was also brought in to help the PP which was terrible last season.
