I’m happy with any opponent. No preference. Just love watching this team play; never been so optimistic as a fan that we could win every game. We won’t obviously but this team is so resilient, intense and adaptable with a great complement of skill. They can play on the counter, in possession and are amazing in transition. Not just speaking to this game but hats off to the team in general can’t wait for the knockout stage.

Julian Brandt is unleashed. You love to see it.

Imagine if we had had a Brandt-Goetze double 10 alignment ahead of Witsel all season with Reus on the wing or bench.

And as I’m typing this, Reus misses his second chance of the game that he should’ve scored. Dortmund might have another captain issue to deal with in another season or two, if Reus keeps this up.

I see most of our offensive problems as a function of how Favre wants to use Reus and the bad season he’s having.

Bad refereeing. Takes two minutes to review a goal and then doesn’t add on the time he wasted. FIFA never fixes this. It’s been a problem for years where referees don’t give full stoppage time.

All games at half. Of the interesting results if things hold:

Group F:
Both games are 1-1, Inter are currently in place to move on if they keep a level result with Dortmund.

Group G:
Lyon losing and Zenit drawing means Lyon would be dropping to the Europa league with Zenit moving on.

Group H:
Valencia would top the group, Chelsea second, Ajax down to the Europa.

Brandt has been phenomenal. Dragging the team to victory.

His chemistry with Sancho looks great. Don't erase the contributions of Bürki though. Slavia converted poorly but Bürki has had some incredible saves. Favre should probably lose his job despite the result if we're being honest though. Dortmund lose this game to most teams in this competition.

This has been dreadful. Fire Favre either way. We’ve been outplayed at home by Slavia Prague. Brandt and Buerki the only reasons we’re going through right now.

Dortmund's decision making on these counters is brutal. Conversion rate is appalling for the level of attacking talent. Lack of attacking structure/organization of Favre's team rarely more evident.

Michy Batshuayi has an unparalleled ability, unlike any player I've seen, to create something from nothing through incredible turning with back to goal and then completely f*** the finish
