The guy would be horrendous and people want him on the 3rd line in the playoffs without playing most of the regular season.

But he brings leadership I guess.

Considering he'd be replacing a minor-leaguer in Max Talbot I don't really think that's much of a stretch.

This is all predicated on Claude keeping Spooner on the wing.

My heart is broken knowing that he is gone. He was the last of "our guys" for my dad and I.

I hope he comes back but that's not likely.

Thank you for 5 years Kells!

His play in Game 4 against MTL and in the rest of the playoffs in 2011 was legendary. Very classy leader who we'll miss. It was never his fault that the Bruins gave him a huge contract that was tough to live up to.

Acciari is so overrated here. I don't see it.

He was on the PK this season when we were 2nd or 3rd last in the league.

kelly has life in him but dont see it here... my gut call sees him in edmonton next year as they scream for his leadership and attention to defense

Agree with all of the above.

Like other vets & coaches from 2011, Kelly's time here has come and gone. Thanks for the memories.

I too would not be surprised to see the ChiaPet sign Kelly to a contract that he wouldn't and shouldn't receive here.

Ring out the old, ring in the new.
