Yeah or just hit him cleanly.Or if he's gonna take the penalties, make them worth it.
Wear Kucherov down, hit him, hit him hard and when you can.

With the talk that Grz could be a potential partner for McAvoy next year I took a look at his advanced numbers with an away from McAvoy over the last two years. I also looked at Chara's numbers over the same time to see how they stacked up.

Crazy to see the difference in the advanced stats between the two.
Probably explains why Chara isn't signed yet.
Gryz-McAvoy will be a mobile, offensively-talented pair with a tremendous breakout ability, though will be susceptible to the big bruising lines like what Tampa threw at us last year.

True that they will benefit from playing with each other and make each other better. Plus McAvoy is a lot tougher than he looks on the surface. I think playing with Chara for 4 years makes us think he's smaller than he actually is.I am not sure Gryz can't handle that. He gets smeared a lot less than Krug did because he is so agile on his skates. He will take a bit of a beating, but that can be offset by the fact that Charlie will not have to be retrieving pucks for him- Gryz also took some beatings because he was often paired with the less mobile Miller, or the inexperienced often out of position Conor Clifton.

he needs to be on the top PP plain and simple . Krug is gone , no need to try and replicate the pp with Gryz , i mean krugs shot was horrible from the point lastr few years cant see Chuck being any worse
has he ever had a decent look running the top pp unit? wonder how krug would look running the 2nd unit?Charlie hasn't been very good running a PP. His best chances tend to be on the PP but rushing the puck.

Charlie McAvoy ready to step up as the next great Bruins defenseman
Good article (on ESPN?!?!!) on Charlie.
Need to get him signed to a nice long term contract.
When it’s time to sign it’s going to cost a lot more than that.I would give him Krejci's cap hit and 7 years.
Not getting enough attention this year, but hopefully that changes around awards season.
Just shy of a PPG even though he doesn’t get much PP time and eats all of the hard minutes. Look at the defensive play he made in OT, turned it into the game winning goal.
The kids have been great but he’s an absolute horse offensively and defensively. He’ll be in the Norris discussion. So lucky to have him.
