Zenit now ties up Gent, making it wholly Valencia's own fault that they aren't going through.

I don't know why Olympiakos didn't park the bus. Were they watching the Monaco fixture last year?

Well that's my point really, same with City. It's not like United is even close being "ready".

So you're comparing teams that started from scratch to United who had Rooney, Mata and co and added 150M of players this summer?
You can defend VG all you want, he was stupid not to sign defensemen. He didn't spend his money well, nor wisely, and now the product on the pitch is dreadful, and now even the results are dreadful in the CL. Not going through will cost them further millions.

LVG doesn't sign the players, Woodward does.

So, it's

Real Madrid and PSG
Wolfsburg and PSV Eindhoven
Atletico Madrid and Benfica
Manchester City and Juventus
Barcelona and Roma
Bayern and Arsenal
Chelsea and Dynamo Kiev
Zenit and Gent

Some interesting draw potential there.

Tah's passing game is really good. Too bad Leverkusen couldn't take any of their chances in the second half.

Roma are a joke

Had a feeling Arsenal would go through, this Olympiakos side is not as strong as in past years based on the fact Dinamo were largely better than than in both legs.

Neville starts with a defeat at Valencia, wouldn't have mattered anyway with Gent winning but not the best start

Please god no. Evilo will be insufferable for weeks :sarcasm:

PSG is the strongest team that finished second so that would definitely be the toughest draw. But I want revenge.

Was winning really the best option for Chelsea? I think they should've lost the game and played in Europa - which they have a good chance of winning. That's the only way they'll be getting UCL football next season.

Is anybody here honestly surprised by the Greek sides results? They are normally some of the most inconsistent clubs in Europe. One day they can beat Barca convincingly and then get smashed by Astana in the next fixture.

But seriously, all the Arsenal haters are running back to their hiding places after today.

Shouldn't we blame Roma's opponents instead for not capitalizing on these opportunities than Roma playing **** football?
