Thats a pretty darn good deal. His defensive game will likely not decline before the end of this which makes this good value alone for a 40-50 point guy.

A lot like the Gio contract. Immense performance relative to cap hit but nearing the end could get a little risky. Flames will probably be rebuilding in 5 years anyways.

This is a pivotal contract in being able to pay Tkachuk. I am over the moon with this one. That's only 1.6 million a year raise and we got term through his prime.
