TSN/RDS reporter F. Gagnon called 1-2 years @ 4-4.5M AAV about five weeks ago. Basically a show-me deal, in MTL or otherwise.

Says he consulted with sources who were qualified enough to talk about his upcoming deal, after Ferris wouldn't give him anything. Whatever that means.

2x5.3 is a bad deal for the jackets. Goes straight to UFA and hes getting 1ish mill less than hes worth on a 6-7 year deal. A 2 year bridge should have come at 4 imo

If Domi was angling for this kind of deal all along, the trade makes so much more sense from a Montreal POV. Not so much the AAV, but the term.

I think he finds a home long term in Columbus though, seems like a good fit there.
