Is Duclair deemed something of a reclamation project these days after the past few seasons? I think he'd do pretty well with the Blue Jackets surrounded by that level of talent, as long as he manages to adapt to Torts' system.

Even then the Habs have a busy left wing: Domi, Lehkonen, Hudon, Deslauriers, and now Duclair? That doesn't include playing Byron and Drouin at the left like they could. There's also Kerby but nah nevermind he can rot in Laval.

You know that Drouin, Domi and Hudon are gonna play much C.

League minimum is fantastic value for him. I'm kinda mad Hawks couldn't work out something similar for him.

Probably depth in the case that Panarin is moved.
:eyeroll: The only way the one has any relation whatsoever to the other is that they both are, in some way, associated with the Blue Jackets. Similar strength of association could be used to suggest that he was signed to make up for the fact that Jared Boll has retired.

Time for some "tough love" to set him straight.

There were rumors (just rumors, nothing confirmed) about his work ethic and attitude in Arizona. Not sure if they were true or if there were the same rumors in Chicago. If they are hypothetically true and are what's holding him back as a hockey player, then if Tortorella can't whip him into shape, nobody can.

Where does he fit in on the Jackets tho???

Panarin - Dubois - Atkinson
Jenner - Wennberg - Bjorkstrand
Foligno - Nash - Anderson
Sedlak - Dubinsky - Milano

4th line seems like the only spot?

Therein lies the problem. Duclair has first-line skills and speed, but lacks in his decision-making, and doesn't match up defensively against other teams' first lines. He certainly does not have 4th-line grit as a back-checker or penalty killer. Perhaps the right linemates and coaching can correct these problems.

Despite all that, this sounds like a great signing for Columbus.
