$10.5 mill caphit since 2018, all the way to 2026. Who has he proven wrong? He hasn't lived up to being a top 3 goalie every season, which would be expected from that contract

One opportune hot streak doesn't change his entire career.

If he brings the cup home, his cap hit won't matter for the rest of the term.

I think that Carey Price has already cemented himself as one of the great goalies of his generation.

I'm really not sure what Henrik Lundqvist or Pekka Rinne have done that put them on a higher tier than Price...
Rinne doesn’t have an argument, but you see the playoffs Price is having? Hank had multiple playoff runs better than the one Price is on. Hank’s playoff stats completely blow Price’s out of the water when you look closest at elimination games and game 7’s.

Everyone thinks that, until they want to win again. Ask Hawks fans about Toews big contract and his play from 2015-2018, why their cup window slammed shut

Somewhere on earth in a hospital
Not gonna lie his season stats were absolute garbage for a second year in a row but he always rebound during playoffs. where it matters

Colorado fans laughed at that trade back then on main board with Price in it , they would probably be playing against Tampa if he was there.

The irony
