That's not really how it works. Unless she provided specific date, location and victim information in the interview, she's probably fine.

Curtis Jackson made a literal movie that details his life of crime. I don't think that caused him any troubles.

As I said earlier, I assume 3 reasons for the confession :

a) She thought the story might come out and was trying to get ahead of it;
b) She thought the story was funny - some things I did earlier in life that I thought were funny / cool, seem awful now;
c) She was feeling guilty about it and wanted to get it off her chest.

"c" is a stretch. My guess : a combination of "a" and "b".
