I do think Bouwmeester's poor reputation is a bit undeserved because of his lack of physical game in a Canadian market. He's better than he gets credit for. He's not ideal, but then neither is a broken Green.

His O game just totally died after his first couple years, so he never lived up to the expectations. I'd take him.

Not sure what 52 has done since his two big seasons to warrant his paycheck. Sporadically good defense and above average skating? Wideman outplayed him last year.

Just breaking down the video, not coming to brag:

Watching the replay on MSG, Oleksy went for an epic hit on Nielsen when he should've been in front of the net. He missed his hit, slammed into the boards, and there was plenty of space for Nielsen's pass to Bailey. If I was a Caps fan, I wouldn't be happy with Oleksy tonight.
