2. The Refs let Holtby get assualted, this isnt MMA PPV. so much for trying to clean up the game.
Emery should be out of the league, go back to KHL

but in all seriousness, i was baffled by the fight between the goalies. Ref should have stepped in and he didnt while Holtby was helpless and getting his **** pounded on in the back of his head. I wished a Cap would have just knocked the **** outta the ref and proceeded to beat Ray Emery's ass
IIRC Emery trained as a boxer and he's not small. I doubt we have anyone that could "beat his ass".
When Brower scored that 6th goal..like a veteran no celebration. In the big picture a hat trick for Ward for the next goal was likely unfortunate as for the caps a most unlikely player to record a hat trick and there was moderate celebration. Pretty much knew at that point something was going to happen...which was fine with Simmons/Wilson but Emery...sigh. But St. Lauren...go frak yourself.

That game was a disgrace and Emery is a stupid punk. No two ways about it. Hated it as a Flyers fan, but more as a hockey fan.

The NHL clamped down hard on 3rd man in game misconducts so players do not do them anymore. They are gone from the game.
I miss the days when a player could take one, and not get suspended. The league thinks they are protecting their image, but as usual, are clueless, opening the door for classless acts like Seravalli's.
The only thing players can do now, is start fighting innocent others on the ice.
Ask Vinny how he likes it. Watch that video and you can see Oleksy is the first to get started. In the past, there would be one huge pile up and not much punches thrown.
I doubt Emery sends Vinny a get well card.

So reports are that Holmgren went into the Flyers lock room before the 3rd period started. So if he spurred that disgrace by demanding the Flyers show they "care" - it really should be the last straw for his tenure. He sucks at assembling a team and he stirs up a line brawl that results in the loss of his only viable offensive weapon and makes a gratuitous assault on an unwilling combatant by a psycho the face of his organization. The whole game was a testament to the idiocy and failure of the concept of "Flyers Hockey."

Perhaps there is some justice in that they lost 2 decent players to injuries in fights. Holmgrens big pickups.
I am real glad we didnt get stuck with a finesse lineup out when the **** went down. Patti Wilson Oleksy and Latta is a good group to go to war with. Heck even Urbom ended up sitting on Schenn and could have gotten him regretting starting to throw. Never discount an angry viking.
