Not bad considering he probably only gets something like 11:30*
*Going to bed and too lazy to take the 23 seconds to GOOG it.
Close enough, 12:17

His progression reminds me of the movie Bambi stepping onto the ice for the first time. I have no qualms with wood, once he figures it out he is going to be scaryDon't look now but Miles Wood is tied for 2nd on the team in goals .

If he remains top 5 in goals from the bottom 6 with that kind of time...
What do you think that contract is going to look like... I'm thinking every goal from here to the end of the season is worth another 150k...
Seems like a reasonable comparable. But we are only half way and Wood is already already at 12 goals and 20 points.Josh Anderson's probably a good comp, he had 17 goals and 29 points in a limited role for Columbus last year (ATOI: 12:01)

He did have a long holdout before he signed for $1.85 million on a three-year deal.
They passed him(Wood) up so he likes to,show them up
He’s an all situations beast already. If he hits his ceiling, he’s Pavel Datsyuk.
Jesper Bratt is a Swedish hockey god. There is no comparable.
The biggest factor I think which has moved the needle is like you said Nico,Bratt Santini however cant discount the emergence of wood, coleman and partially Gibbons. A lot of credit goes to Hall who has predominantly been a 55-60 point guy now finds himself over a PPG pace3 of our top 6 goal scorers are 22 years old or under. Wood, Bratt and Hischier. Add the contribution from Butcher and Santini and the youth parade is a big one.
Over on the main board a lot of praise is being heaped on Hall, much of it deserved. But I do take a bit of an exception that he's "Carrying the team" as one Corey Pronman tweet suggested.... My thought is without the injection of productive youth, Hall is just not moving the needle by himself. He didn't last year and never did in Edmonton. By no means is that in anyway a knock on Hall. It's more saying that this is a good team.
But I have to think that that thread is more or less to rub in the Larsson trade and not a lot of seriousness?
And... our obligatory Kinky victory tweet:
Any video of that overtime goal?
Wood right now kind of reminds me of a poor mans Chris Kreider. And I dislike Kreider a lot, he's dirty and reckless and the league has been soft on him because he's a Ranger, but they're both bull in a china shop physical presence guys. I don't know though if Wood will ever develop the hockey IQ of Kreider.
