It said Sven was out for the season. What are you people complaining about
Because he was! Last season. It said Sven was out for the season.
I don't think I've ever google searched that ferociously in my life.Because he was! Last season.
He's pretty much a typical tweener type player, he'll give you 40-45 points while being extremely soft and average at best defensively.
Does two-way play matter in today’s NHL? Yeah, it absolutely does....Does that matter in today's NHL? If Baertschi can produce 40-45 points (which likely means he scores 20+ goals) that's pretty good production for a skilled player at $3.36M AAV. The fact that he is 26 adds value as well. Too bad he can't stay healthy but when healthy he's a solid top 9 player to have in your lineup.

I do believe he can be an effective complimentary player on a line with a play driving centre, and the team could really use him right now with the terrible winger depth.
Goldobin / Pettersson / Boeser
Baertschi / Horvat / Virtanen

With Eriksson playing a bit better it makes sense as well. However it means Horvat is saddled carrying him and one of Granlund, Leipsic, Schaller or Rousell as the other LW.Baertschi - Sutter - Virtanen
They played great together when Baer got demoted from Horvat’s line, they skated miles and were good defensively, Baer also potted 2 goals that game, would be a solid 3rd line for us when the teams completely healthy.
When he's on..he's a solid NHL 2nd line LW....I just fear that he's one knock away from calling it a day.Baer is the 4th best forward on this team.
