Seems neither of you got real value for your players. Just allocated cap from D to F in Calgary and F to D on Carolina.

Just because they didnt land anyone doesnt mean they werent int the running, or at least were trying to be in the running. Vancouver has a lot of holes to fill and Jim Benning is on the hotseat... Not much is likely to actually happen though because we have so few tradeable assets for these types of players, but doesnt mean Benning isnt trying.

The entire league had rumblings and not much happened. Every year it is the medias job to throw out all kinds of trade scenarios at the TDL and the Draft to try and garner peoples interest.

You can chuckle at Vancouver's media as well as 30 other NHL teams too. Most media in Vancouver are useless and should not be considered insiders what so ever, yet people still listen to them and think big things are going to happen.

As for Severson, I would have interest but don't know if we have what NJ would want in a potential trade
