Abbotsford was a dud as a market when the Flames were there but presumably there will be more interest in a Canuck farm team.

I don't understand why they would play fewer games but the practice time thing is unfortunate. Perhaps they will buck up for flights to most destinations which could go a long way to recoup practice time.
I'm with you 100% on the rest of your thoughts. Anecdotally my 71 year old mother expressed interest in season tickets already. My uncle will certainly buy one but then again he had them for the Heat as well.
Our Utica fan brothers and sisters will be missed, but the silver linings are that they still have a team and we will be swimming in AHL reports from locals.
