I've been pumping Benning's tires since Day One (he hasn't had anything nice to say about me by the way), but even I will turn on Benning if McCann gets cut.

It's not the end of the world if McCann goes down. He could probably play in the NHL this year but I don't think it would hurt him terribly to develop for another year. It also gives us more of an opportunity to get Gaunce into the line up.

It would hurt his development greatly if he gets injured in a league he has no business being in other than "he needs to get bigger and stronger", as if that'll magically make him a better point producer or defensively.
