With all these comeback wins, it's hard not to think back to 2005-2006. I'm trying my best not to get my hopes too high.

The issue with expecting a Cup is that not only does it not happen, but even if it does it's less incredible. The 2006 Cup will be something I'll remember forever because I simply did not expect that we could actually win it.

Don't expect a Cup. You'll be disappointed.

Well at least my fantasy team is playing really well!

Also if we give up a goal against New Jersey tonight we're the worst team in the league.

Win or lose, if someone I don't like whiffs, takes a penalty, or shoots into an opponent's shinpads tonight, they DOUBLY don't belong in the NHL let alone on my fantasy team.

GDT's have devolved and are getting quite boring. The majority of posts now seem to be predictable rants/facepalms about the go-to whipping boys no matter how lame in an effort to appear switched-on (OMG, LaRose iced the puck..he does that every game! :shakehead:help:) interspersed with hockey pool/NHL Xbox discussion filler.

Hey, that sounds just like the Internet!

No fan's team should expect a cup. There is too many variables.. but certainly no Canes fan should expect a cup.. We usually have more flaws then most top teams (and this year is no different) I think what I expect is for the Canes to be in the playoffs this year and we'll see where the chips fall.

I bet you the islanders fans expect every year to suck and the Devils fans probably expect every year to be in the playoffs. We're in the middle

I feel kinda sad for the Islanders. The refs could have just awarded them a goal every time we took a penalty and we would have still won the game.
