Reasons to be worried;

- leafs are due for a loss
- leafs this season have a history of playing lazy against bad teams
- montreal ALWAYS puts up a great game against the leafs
- might not have matthews yet
- montreal just got embarrassed by phoenix
- analytics says montreal isnt as bad as they currently are in the standings

I'm am happy with the turn the Leafs have taken lately and am hopeful the games vs. Minny, Kings, San Jose, Philly, Canes and Ottawa are still fresh in their minds. They seem to have learned from their terrible play in those games and are playing better of late. I'm concerned about a let down tonight as well but I think Babs will get them focused for this one.

Reasons to be optimistic:

-We're one of the hottest teams in the league right now without our best player.
-Andersen has picked it up a ton in November
-Habs three best forwards have the flu.
-It seems as though Niemi is likely to start.
-Montreal still can't score goals.

No excuses for a loss, particularly in regulation, tonight IMO. I think the Leafs are beyond the point of hoping they can beat these teams that are struggling, and the expectation is that the should win these games.
