This guy can shoot the puck. He’s on a 20~ goal pace for the year (per 82) and it’s completely deserved.

He's on track to play over 82 regular season games this season also. You wonder if he might start to fatigue early compared to some other players in the league that didn't play elsewhere before the NHL season started.

This wasn't their first game together thou, if i'm not mistaken.
They have indeed clicked from the go.

Actually I think it was. One or both of Yegor and Kuokkanen have played with Zajac almost all year.

Kuokkanen got moved to Jack's line when Palms got held out of the lineup, but Yegor hasn't played with him since the first couple games of the season.

He is overall game has really improved as the season went on.

The three have played together the last few games.

What's his upside?

I’d say 35/35, pp specialist. Dude has one of the most legit shots I’ve seen on the devils in a while. His wrister reminds me of previous Russian (I know he’s not Russian) snipers where he has a deceptive release that he can get off in close on defenders.

What's his upside?
In my opinion his upside is probably a 30+ goal, 60+ point two-way forward. He's on a 24 goal and 44 point pace over 82 games right now in his rookie year and has shown a lot of improvement over the season as he adjusts to the NHL, and he has a wicked shot. Whether he hits that or not is always hard to say of course, but he has the skillset to do it.

2 power play goals tonight. Both his first.

Having himself quite a good rookie season.

I don't get to see a lot of Devils games, but streamed one last night and I was very surprised as how fast this kid was. He was absolutely flying around the ice. He definitely stood out. I'm not sure if that was just a very good game or if that's the norm, but I was impressed.

His skating speed significantly improved last offseason. I really think that's the key factor to why he had such a boost in offensive production this year.

I'm a big fan of this line (I really like Kuokkanen and Sharangovich). I also like advanced stats.

With that being said, when the 1st and 3rd rank on a list are a 4th and 3rd line, I just don't know what to think about those stats. Can someone explain why is it good that they have similar number than Colorado's 4th line?

**I'm not trying to be a d*ck, I genuinely want to understand it. There are a lot of good lines on the list, but half of them seems to be bottom-6 lines, and not a lot of 1st line.**

It's because the minutes are so low. 53 minutes is about 3 games worth. It's still good, but things would even out over more games. It's like when a guy starts the season on a hot streak and everyone jokes that he's on pace for 164 points or whatever.
