...There are definitely worse markets then Moncton, very true.

Moncton pulled the plug at the deadline and did the tankasaurus last year. They are getting some good talent in, I wouldn't classify them as terrible moving forward. It's also known that Moncton has money to get imports in.

He remind me of Kucherov
How can he remind Kucherov? Kucherov is a sniping winger and Khovanov is a playmaking center.
Well they just blew it on one of the bigger name imports they could get. Pelletier will be a good add but they don't have a whole lot else cooking in the oven so to speak. Might be good in a few years but not likely next year.
This is how the cycle works in junior hockey. Unless you are the London Knights.
Even Halifax hasn't been great in recent times. They were sellers at last year's deadline trading Meier and finished 2nd last in the QMJHL.Or Halifax, Kelowna, Portland.. really any of the teams with money and decent attendance figures.

London and Portland seem to generally be exempt from being near the bottom. Windsor and Kitchener in the OHL are almost always playoff teams, although Windsor did bottom out for a bit after they got sanctioned.

Yeah with Halifax it seems to be the last few years. Savy moves to get good picks but also probably a few other under the table things to get top imports to come over.
Hopefully that's just an excuse to get out of Moncton.
According to Moncton's GM, Khovanov caught an illness during a trip to the Caribbean this summer and could be out for 6 months.

6 months? What did catch?( I can't read French)
Definitely going to hurt his draft stock if he's out for 6 months.
Then some team can get a happy ticket out of this lottery. Or not. I mean, the main thing for any young player isn't his draft position, but a proper development. If Khovanov plays good, he will become an NHLer no matter what draft position he's picked.
