Just for the sake of stats :) : Heponiemi junior career (Finland junior C,B,A + WHL, M-Cup)
286 games, 129 goals, 307 assists, 436 points. (1.55 ppg)

Not a surprise that he is a point per game player as a pro.

Hopefully the Panthers can lock him up soon and bring him over for next season. You would think by then he should be ready to start playing NHL games.

Even tho the kid is tiny, maybe Elias Pettersson will provide the blueprint on how to play in the NHL while being 150 pounds. Albeit he's got the height but that could be a negative as well (easier to hit). Hepo has all the skills in the world to be a PPG producer at the NHL level.

If you mean Hepo's weight, then yes, but he isn't tiny, he is 5 11.

He's listed at 180 but most reports had him closer to 160-165 at the start of the season. Considering he's like 6'2 that's still tiny.
I think most reports were speculation of the “160 lbs soaking wet” kind. IIRC he reported at training camp at 175.

e: sorry this is super off topic. You make a good point

Eliteprospect lists Hepo as 67 kg (148), Liiga lists Hepo as 72 kg (159)
Eliteprospects lists Hepo as 179cm (5 foot 10), Liiga lists Hepo 180cm (5 foot 11)

I trust to Liiga more than to Eliteprospects.

But yeah, Hepo is skinny (as is Pettersson)

What is his most likely path to NHL? 2019 - AHL, 2020 NHL? There is still legitimate concern about his ability to be impactful in the NHL, given his size, no?
