It's nice to know we have a very good young 1-4 d and most likely even 1-6 for hopefully the next 7-8 years.

Gallant to Mika at the end:

Ah, f***. Did I just totally accidentally introduce Harry Potter since we’re running out of LotR material?

And the new material shall rise!

Probably mad about Mika legit standing still on center ice for about five seconds after getting up from that hit then getting gifted another easy point while playing like shit for a whole game

Not only was Mika standing there, he was drifting farther and farther away from Kreider and Goodrow who were doing all the board work. If Fox did not decide to pinch, all that board work would've just been an easy turn over to the Sabres and they go to OT.

Inb4 others say Laf was invisible. I thought he had a decent game. Wasn't a part of the scoring, but he was really good supporting the forecheck and keeping the play alive. Just let him keep working at it. He might make that "jump" that Joe credited Chytil with, later this season or next.

Did GG think Zibby dove on that hit at center? How could he possibly be mad at the last second assist? Mika was aware of the time on the clock and made the correct snap decision.

When Chytil is skating and swarming like this, he's undeniably one of our most impactful players. The finishing will come. If there's one thing he's excelled at, it's finishing and scoring goals.

I thought all of our kids played better. Laf was engaged as well imo.

Mika is the worst center on the team. That's a big problem.

He basically spoonfed Chytil an empty net goal tonight..but Chytil flubbed it

Kreider deserves special recognition. Not only the scoring but he’s just flat out doing his job. He’s filling his PP role, he’s PKing for the first time in the NHL (doing it well too), he’s been great on the forecheck - he’s been carrying play for his line with Mika looking horrible.

All the off-season talk about Kreider needing to be on the 3rd line and traded soon and all he’s done is play some of the best hockey of his career. He looks excellent.
