As I have mentioned REPEATEDLY in this thread and others--there is absolutely no evidence that he said that word and it is actually far more likely that he said a different word. His suspension was based on something he said to a teammate. The year he said it, his team was 100% white kids. The rule he was suspended under covers a litany of things in addition to racism. Considering the lack of ANY Black people in the room, I think it's far more likely that he used a homophobic term or something along those lines. Still bad, but not to the level of the N-word. Everyone knows that that word is taboo and why. There are still a lot of kids that toss around homophobic insults without really thinking about the impact of those words. When people drop the N-word, it shows an intentional offense that indicates a lack of character. When people drop homophobic slurs (or ableist slurs, or several other kinds of language that has always been "allowed" even though it is now rightfully understood to be offensive), it often shows a person who needs to learn about how their words have impact beyond the bubble in which they grew up.

TL/DR: People state that ADA is a racist and dropped the N-Bomb because they dislike his politics. There is no factual evidence for it, and considering the racial make-up of his team that year, it would be VERY unlikely that that was the term he used to insult a teammate.

I already pushed back vs pigeonholing the guy.
On some teams he is 1RD, possibly even the best D. On others, clearly not.
All I said is specifically applicable specifically to BUF, he would be a good pair w/Dahlin.

I said clearly he is not now a Norris candidate and while elite D is a very small club, only takes one to bypass Deangelo, and I doubt he supplants Heiskanen or coupla others any time soon.

This thread needs to remain open in the hope that posters leaving content will be mature enough to speak to all facets of trade value and make assessment, not go off course.
