He was fourth among defensemen in points. Denying reality.
I think the question with ADA is establishing some sort of consistency.

He turned a few heads the previous year averaging about .5 points/game. That was a big transition year for Tony. Offensively and especially defensively. Still, a 40~ point pace your 1st full season as a 23-24 year old is impressive.

The fools suggesting he was a PP specialist, or a product of Panarin clearly don’t know their as from their elbow.

If they actually watched him regularly, they would realize how many times Tony created something out of nothing that Panarin capitalized on.

It’s hard having discussions about a player with people who rarely watch him. Most Of the garbage people here are discharging about Tony is simply because of his past. Or his Twitter. Some buffoons literally assume he plays like a 4th forward on the ice.

How can you even attempt to have a serious discussion about a player with a group of people who have proven time and time again that they don’t actually watch the player they’re degrading?

Dahlin and Risto split PP1 time. They had ES shifts away from Eichel. ADA followed Panarin everywhere...
What about Zibanejad and Buch..?????????

Zibanejad has 1 and Buch had 2 less direct points than Panarin from ADA.

PPG w/ADA:

Panarin: .17
Zibby: .16
Buch. .14

Another dumbass post from somebody who thinks they know more than they do. :dunce:

@Djp — what do you have to say for yourself...?

drop the elite....he’s a by product of Panarin

Panarin had 20 more points than Zib, yet only one more "ADA point." Panarin had almost FIFTY more points than Buchnevich, yet only TWO more "ADA points." Funny what happens when fact don't align with biased narratives, isn't it?

Buffalo has an elite forward (Top 5 in the league as Buffalo fans have incessantly whined throughout numerous threads). Yet even with Eichel on the team, Rasmus Dahlin only put up 40 points last season (13 less than ADA)

This is absolutely hilarious, embarrassing, and true. I almost feel bad for @Djp. I’m very interested to hear his rebuttal though.

I find your vile unglaphobia to be disgusting. It's 2020 for God's sake, I thought as a nation we were passed this type of thing. For shame!
I conceded.

Unleash the f***ing Tage or I’ll report your post.

This is serious business.

But Panarin is on the team. So, kinda' moot, eh? Regardless if DeAngelo is a product of Panarin or not, that still doesn't change that he was more than a PP specialist. So inaccurate information is inaccurate.
Not when you are trying to foist him on to another team. Bern was pushing him as a #2, I said little more than a pp specialist. I guess the truth is in the middle, but thanks for giving Panarin some credit for Tony.

Building a player up to try to get rid of him is one thing. Calling DeAngelo elite at this point is out there, even for HF.

You do realize that most of the Rangers fans still responding to this thread DON'T want to get rid of him, right? The logic is that he is likely to become very expensive very quickly and the team has an embarrassment of riches in the RD pipeline. I'm thrilled they didn't move ADA right now. A lot of things can happen in two years (his contract length). Fox may not develop as we hope. Lundkvist may not adjust to the NHL game. ADA may get shifted to the left side and thrive. As it stands, we have a player who--statistically speaking--was absolutely elite last season, and has made leaps and bounds in his offensive play over the last two seasons. He's also made hops and shuffles worth (I have no idea what the more modest equivalent of "leaps and bounds" would be) of improvement in his own zone--enough to gain the trust of his coach, at any rate.

ADA is a player who makes just about any team in the league better than it is right now. I'm more than content to hold on to him and revisit the cost/salary cap issue in a couple years.

I hope he just gives it up. He just keeps walking into it with the things he says. Like, I know I'm just presenting the facts that completely disprove his opinions, but it almost feels like bullying at this point. I half expect to get drafted and then renounced by the Coyotes any day now.
I honestly kinda feel bad for him after what you presented. Not going to lie.. It was a glorious read:thumbu:

they even have #1 fan base. :skeptic:

Don't you think you should have stopped there? I would think you would know by now.
