Think they'd call up Fitz before Seny right now personally.

I think Senyshyn has the tools to be a top 6 guy, but I'd rather they give him the full season in Providence playing the way he has, and give him to opportunity to win a job out of camp.

yes you would be ok with that...but why would the Blues be ok with that?

After all would you be ok to receive that package for Pasta....the other way around?

If Pasta were 28 and the team wasn’t looking like they were within 4-5 years of contending, I’d be okay with moving him for a package of young talent and picks.

Now...as always it comes down to what the other side thinks of the young players.

You can find dozens of posters here who both love, hate or are indifferent to every player in the system. Probably similar to how GM’s feel.

Maybe Heinen, Donato, Vaakanainen, Backes (cap reasons) and a first gets it done for him and something else....maybe not.

Every year we see a array of deals where some feel team A overpaid and team B made out like a bandit.....and some others feel the exact opposite.

Happens all the time.

As an FYI, it seems Blues fans don’t even consider Maroon an NHL player. Most seem to want to give him away for free. Just a consideration for who were asking for from the Blues... Not sure if it’s STL or not, but reminds me a little bit of Beleskey.

Not if you pay the suggested price.

You don't deal McAvoy for a winger.
You deal McAvoy for winger and you have neither a new franchise C or a franchise D-man, smart.

With 3 more years he creates problems.

Is McAvoy currently a franchise D? No he isn’t. Now Tarasenko is a franchise winger. No doubt about it. Yes I do believe Macavoy does have the potential to be franchise D but that is a possibility not a Guarantee. The other thing that keeps being dropped is the 7.5 million contract for 5 more years. Which is incredible value for an Elite winger.

I’m on board with the first paragraph. That’s the prudent approach. That said, I’ll throw this out there.:

Considering how NHL players can depreciate fast after their early 30’s of the B’s are marginal this year and are worse next year, do you consider talking to Bergy and see if would consider a run with a contender if it helps the Bs rebuild...I’m assuming a huge return or it’s a non starter.

I would do it under right circumstances. I know many would not.

If we trade for a Dman before a 2RW or 3C I’m going to flip out.

I’ve watched Fitz. He’s so
Small. He isn’t great at anything. Think senny needs to be called up
Next.

That was my thought as well but I guess its good too keep your options open. Sounds like Sweeney could of been checking out the flames, don't really know, its not as if the bruins can afford to give up any scoring help.

Damn, they’re looking for offense? Kinda surprising to me.

Otherwise I’d offer a huge package for Monahan and Tkachuk.

If there is any substance to that rumor, I’d hope it would involve a D for D swap in a multi player trade that brings us one of our needs. Unfortunately it looks like the Flames are also looking for what we are.

So their December 16th roundup has an “observation” by KPD that GM Don Sweeney was in attendance at a game a week ago today. Then they say it’s believed that Calgary wants to move a D for scoring help, which is pretty much exactly what Boston wants to to do as well...

So that would make them perfect trading partners?

People get paid to put this stuff together? Amazing.

I don’t think they’re there yet.

Especially if they can grab something to help improve the team going forward.

Earlier this year he was saying Kuraly should be a winger on the top line, so I’m not surprised by anything he says.

Tarasenko is on pace for 25 goals and 55 points. Doesn't scream franchise player to me. Sure he could revert back to the level he was playing at 2-3 years ago but that is a possibility not a guarantee.

BTW When Tarasenko was Mcavoy's age he played at a 17g-24a- 41 point pace over a full season. Mcavoy is currently on pace for 7g-41a- 49 point pace.

Wayne Simmonds is held together with duct tape and bubble gum. The last thing we need is him to get hurt after we acquire him. On paper is a prototype Bruin and a great winger to have.

"A tear in his pelvic area, fractured ankle, pulled groin, busted mouth (twice) and the torn ligament in his thumb."

All this was just from last year.

The cost would not be worth the risk. We cannot have another Nash situation.

About the d. Were the bruins deficient without macavoy and Chara in the line up? No. The younnf d is not an issue in fact it’s a position of strength. ForwRds are a very big concern.
