Only if Price is injured during the season and we're bringing Marty on a PTO (or similar, not sure if they could), otherwise no thank you.

**** no. As much as I respect his career and his skills. I hate that guy. He's been the main reason why they've beaten us soo many times.

Thanks, Brodeur. You'll be recognized as one of the greatest, easily deserved. But no, this is just too ****ing weird. Plus I want to remember hating you.

No controversy, no 'only if Price goes down'. He clearly says he would accept a back-up role.

We're talking about a local 1st ballot HHOF legend here guys.

Marketing wise it a coup you can only dream about.

Hockey wise the guys will be PUMPED to see this legend come here and play with them because he think we can win.

Ugh no. I can't hate someone for hanging on as long as they can, if they love the game, great for them, but sorry don't want him on the Canadiens. Brodeur was one of the worst "starting" goalies last year. I would bet $100 Budaj and Tokarski are better goalies than him now and will have better seasons.

I think Brodeur can be just as good as them. Only like .08 save % difference with Budaj and played 20 more games.

I think a gentleman like Marc Bergevin needs to have a certain amount of respect towards the personnel he already hired before taking a decision like that. I just don't see it happen unless someone goes down, HHOF or not.

That would be a lack of respect for both those guys, MacDonald and Condon.

Budaj is an NHL backup, he doesn't deserve to go to the AHL. Tokarski would probably be pissed if he was forced to play backup to Budaj in the AHL because Brodeur sells more jersey.

Macdonald would be pissed because he signed to be in the AHL, not the ECHL. Condon would be dissapointed because he wouldn't even have a fighting chance of playing in the AHL despite dominating the ECHL.

It's just to much repercussion just for a couple jersey sales.

And has you said, Brodeur could be as good as them, so you're throwing **** at them for someone who isn't even an upgrade on them.

The whole issue is really Tokarski. Is he too good to sit so many games as an NHL backup to Price? If the answer's no, then Brodeur is not even a consideration. If the answer's yes, then options for a good backup could be Brodeur, Budaj or others.

Would be crazy, but it would still be fun to see him play a few pre-season games... As far as I am concerned I would much prefer to see Brodeur back Price in the PO than Tokarski or Budaj. He wa 2.59 in 39 games last seasonthat's nothing to shy away from.
