Why would Makar garner a + and Heiskanen not?
The way the vast majority here evaluates prospects in backwards.
If Heiskanen was ripping apart a developmental league many here would rate him him higher than having actually cracked and maintained his spot on an NHL roster. Never mind the fact that he plays over 23 mins a game and many times more than that.

I see. That would make more sense. Thanks for clarification.Think it was meant that it would be Makar + for Boeser.
That’s fine, but the point I’m making is that nothing can be more impressive st the developmental level than making the NHL at the same age.Makar is undervalued because people here have limited viewings of him. The same thing was happening with Heiskanen when he was dominating Finland. When Makar makes the NHL next year people will begin to realize what kind of talent he is.
So funny how nucks fans think it's somehow wrong for Stars fans to consider Heiskanen as untouchable as Pettersson...
Burnaby Joe doesn't answer that knock as Makar is needed more then Boeser. Besides Makar making league minimum and Boeser about to cash in big is a consideration. Remember RHD and an offensive one is hardest position to fill and scoring winger probably easiest. No deal here and Vancouver would be silly to take away Pettersson's only finisher.Fair enough.
If the Heiskanen ship has sailed, then I’d knock on Colorado’s door asking for Makar.
You can put all that on your shirt and run around. Doesn't mean Stars trade Heiskanen for less.Pettersson is putting up numbers that in the last 30 years only Selanne, Juneau, Ovi, Lindros, Geno, Fedorov and Sid have either matched or equaled. So yeah, what he's doing is that special.
And Heiskanen is doing what? He is very special as well putting up numbers and logging a ton of minutes. Defenseman take longer to develop. At this point Heiskanen is the last Dallas star I would trade. A massive over payment would be necessary. One no team would pay.Pettersson is putting up numbers that in the last 30 years only Selanne, Juneau, Ovi, Lindros, Geno, Fedorov and Sid have either matched or equaled. What happened to Juolevi?
he was supposed to be a franchise D.
Perhaps you meant franchisee? I could see him running a Dairy Queen or something, sure.
Nikita Kucherov wasn't playing in the NHL by the end of his D+2 season, and is now considered by most people to be the best player from the 2011 draft class (and one of the best in the NHL). If we look at the halfway mark of the 2013 season, all signs pointed to Landeskog or RNH being the best from the draft class.
Filip Forsberg (2012 draft) had 18 NHL games and 6 total NHL points by the end of his D+2 season, and is now arguably the best from his draft class. Halfway through D+2 season, all signs probably would have pointed to Galchenyuk being the best from the draft.
That's two examples from recent drafts of something that you claim is "extremely rare". So, you can believe Pettersson will be the "best in class by a country mile" if you want, but I'm going to wait until more than 8 guys have 40+ NHL games, and make that decision based on a statistically significant sample size.
If he becomes the best D man in the league only McDavid might be more valuable. And Heiskanen is doing what? He is very special as well putting up numbers and logging a ton of minutes. Nucks already have garbage wingers as is - I get that D also sucks but it's sort of robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Not to mention I don't think Dallas makes that trade and we have a similar player in Hughes coming up for Makar.
Brock and Petey also are developing some chemistry - seems like that could be one of the best duos in the league in the next few years.
