Gotta feel bad for Jeff Kubiak. Got hit by a shot while defending, went to the ice writhing in pain and got hit by another shot. Right out of The Longest Yard.

Phantoms Kyle Criscuolo scores on a penalty shot. Wotherspoon at the point has his shot blocked right in front of him by Criscuolo and holds him on the ensuing breakaway. 1-0 LVP.

The Sound Tigers are having an awful time just handling the puck. Can’t make a tape to tape pass, turnovers in the D zone (counted Parker Wotherspoon with 3 awful ones including trying a pass through the slot in front of Christopher Gibson), and bad pinches.

This is my first look at the Sound Tigers this year. What I see is a team whose most talented players are either hurt or up with the Islanders.

I was pretty close to describing Holmstrom's goal accurately and without the benefit of a replay.

I legit thought Holmstrom was closer to the boards than at the left circle. I was sitting on that side of the rink but closer to center ice.
