Today we say goodbye to Brandon Manning. Mandog is a veteran player, whose flyers tenure spanned over 6 seasons and more than 200 games.
Thanks for the memories.

Honestly, I never liked him but it's not his fault the coach used him above his abilities. He'll likely spend a few more seasons in the NHL as a #6/7 before he heads over to Europe.

Good luck and I hope we never see you in the O&B again.

I'm guessing he goes the VandeVelde route. Signs a ATO somewhere next fall and doesn't make the team and is out of the NHL.

Most NHL teams like their veteran players to actually be good at hockey. If they're not, they shouldnt take a spot away from a kid that is NHL ready. Pretty simple.

Two players used as full-time regulars unable to find another NHL job after they leave Haktard Island.

Towards the end of his tenure he wasn't the turd everyone made him out to be. He turned into a legit NHL 6/7 defenseman. I'm glad he's gone because it likely means we'll get some Morin next year but if we weren't stuck with AMac's contract I would have wanted him as our 7th.
