This is one of the first years in ages where there's genuine optimism. And here we are again trying and failing to extend a should be captain and top player to a long term deal. It just shows that nothing has really changed. All the talk of spending to the cap and unparalleled success was lies.

It's nice to want positivity but it needs to be genuine. If the Sens screw this up with Brady it's just more of the same and things need to change. We need more voices out there calling out management and ownership. I'm all for these sort of tweets me

You don’t start FYOUS when the team is likely not making the playoffs, especially with a lot of players to sign in the next few years. You do it when it’s time to challenge as a contender.

Is it though. For reference Kaprizov received no SB and Svechnikov got 4 million in SB on a 62 million contract. We don’t know what the Tkachuk camp is looking for in SB’s either. Would not be surprised if they are looking for 30%+ of that contract coming in SB’s.
