No way.

Backes+1st for a top 9 forward!??

Man Id trade Eriksson for that in a heart beat. What a steal for the Bruins
I have to figure there's some retention here, it wouldn't make sense to me otherwise. Those Backes/Eriksson deals are no joke, they can absolutely sewer a team. Andersson is a solid prospect but nothing special. Kase has injury concerns but has shown legitimate potential at 24 and fits the exact need the Bruins needed to address.

Sounds eerily similar to the Athanasiou for Backes + 1st trade I suggested.

Kinda mad it didn't happen, now.

Boston wins this, imo Anaheim gave up on Kase way too soon

I hate giving up Kase but the multiple concussions (plus other injuries) are a major concern. I just don't think the Ducks were prepared to commit to him long term. A team more worried about the present may as well make use of him now.

Great player, Bruins fans will enjoy the heck of out of watching him. Even when the team isn't going, or if you put him with a couple plugs, he's constantly buzzing around and creating chances.

Bruins have a million defensemen and a bunch good defensive prospects. Andersson was never going to make the team so losing him is pretty negligible.

If I was Anaheim I would have pushed for Lauzon.

Yeah, if Kase didn't have his injury history this is a steal, but the ducks got decent value.

Good trade for Boston.

Do Bruins fans think they're done now or do they swing another trade considering they freed up cap space this season and next?

Axel Andersson is a Swedish defenseman currently playing in the Q. Has a good amount of offensive upside. Definitely has potential.

If he's an offensive defenseman his stats don't look good for his draft+2 season. Especially in the QMJHL.

Seems fair for both sides, as boston retained a bit.

If we took backes at full, and only got a 1st + andersson id be a little disappointed.

25% is still great for the Bruins. $1.5 million on the cap next year instead of $6 million is huge
