Seems like a Hall situation. Hall also had a very good trade value for Boston.

I think Lindholm will extend with Boston, but it will take awhile. Good orgs prefer it that way anyways.

My general assumption is that players like to be UFAs and consider multiple teams, cities, and salaries.

If youre reading Boston’s comments Moore is a cap dump, and Vaak is a middle pairing defenseman. Anaheim shipped off a 28 year old top 4 defenseman. And got 1 first and 2 seconds with filler attached. Boston made out like bandits even if he doesnt resign. Anaheim wanted a first? A TOP prospect + just for a rental alone

I think vaak is a pretty solid propert. Moore is sevicable I'd say a cap casualty. But Vaak probably isn't a A+ chip anymore unfortunately.

I'd feel better if we extend him, obviously.

B's better hope they sign him or they get rinsed in this deal. Burning the boats for a couple more kicks at this old Bergeron core.
I love how Leafs fans come into other teams' trade threads to piss all over deals; that tendency springs from a steep but appropriate insecurity based on TML's track record. Other than Bergeron, Bs' core is young and solid: McAvoy, Lindholm, Pastanak, Swayman, DeBrusk (yes, I know he has some question marks), Gryz, Reily, Carlo, and Frederic are all young. Coyle, Hall, Marchand, and Smith will be in their prime for several years. Swayman could be a Top 5 goalie. Frankly, I like B's future better than TMLs.

Expensive for a rental for a just okay Boston team this year. Reasonable if extension gets made.

Hampus seemed to be way more impressive early in his career and has fallen a bit under the radar lately. Great player still, but if Boston doesn’t resign and gives up all those futures… they’ll soon be rebuild territory as that core gets older.

This novel of a response reads very insecure.

Wow - you consider a 3 line response to be like a novel. :shakehead I guess this thread must be like a set of encyclopedias for you to get through.
