This is getting ridiculous. He should be getting anywhere from 6.25 to 6.75 million (MAX) on an 8 year deal, unless he wants 4 on a bridge deal. Thats if he wants to be here of course.

If not, sign him to a bridge deal and ship him out for a defence man.

You don't throw mega money at your fifth best forward. Who only scored 20 goals playing with Matthews. Who will be easily traded for a Top 4 D to a team that wants more goals. You market him as a potential Centre.

I think the return will be excellent.

Alternatively, he signs a majorly team friendly deal and stays.
